How age is calculated
Your exact age is found by counting complete years since your date of birth, then the complete months left over, then the remaining days. The calculator also shows the same age as total months, weeks and days, and tells you how many days are left until your next birthday and which day of the week it falls on.
The "Age at" date is set to today by default, but you can change it to find someone's age on any past or future date. This is handy for checking whether you meet an age requirement on a certain date, such as the first day of school or the date of an event.
If you were born on 29 February, your birthday is counted as 1 March in years that are not leap years. Some places treat 28 February as the birthday instead, so check the rule that applies to you if it matters.

How is exact age calculated?

What if I was born on 29 February?

Why does another calculator give a different number of days?
Months have different lengths, so tools can count the leftover days in slightly different ways. The total days figure is the same everywhere because it is a simple count between two dates.
